TV Men and Women Win Teays Valley Home Quad

The Teays Valley Track and Field teams won both sides of their home track and field quad on Tuesday, April 7th. The men's team won the meet with 125 points, while the women's team won the meet with 129 points. Amanda Clearcreek came in 2nd to both teams, scoring 53 points on the men's side and 80 on the women's side. The men's team won the triple crown in sprinting, with Dylan Stiffler winning the 100 in 11.76, Carsen Cordes winning the 200 in 23.90, and Caiden Blackburn winning the 400 in 54.38. They also had two distance running winners-Logan Moore in the 1600 (5:00.88), and Ian Duncan in the 3200 (11:23.89). Teays also had two field winners-Robert Crouse in the shotput (41'4.5") and De'Vaughn Railey in long jump (19'5") The women's team also won the triple crown of sprinting-Avery Hannigan took both the 100 and 200 victories in 13.39 and 27.35, respectively. Abby Henderson won the 400 in 1:01.42. Raelynn McGrath won three events on her own-the 100 hurdles (16.64), the 300 hurdles (49.86), and the long jump (14'10.5"). Kennedy Tietz won both the shotput and discus, with a 30'8.75" throw for shotput and a 100'" 8throw for discus. Teays Valley also won two additional field events-Eva Gaal in the pole vault (8'0"), and Lila Merritt in the high jump (4'8"). Finally, the Vikings won both mid-distance relays-the 4 x 400 in 4:27.90 (Harper Banks, Lily Gaal, Abby Henderson, and Kylee McClure) and the 4 x 800 in 11:34.54 (Iris Ardrey, Riley Herbert, Miley Maxwell, and Bethany Wickline).
