TV Men and Women win Seitz Memorial Invitational

The Teays Valley Men and Women both took home 1st place trophies on Thursday at the David Setiz Memorial Invitational at Shawnee High School in Springfield, OH. The women won with 179 points, well ahead of the 2nd place finisher, Shawnee (107.5). The men won by one point over Indian Lake-138.5 to 137.5. The men used three relay wins to push them to victory. In the 4 x 800, the team of Xavier Clay, Ian Duncan, Brayden Fraley, and CJ Jett won the event in 9:02.72. The men's team of Carsen Cordes, Evan Maynard, Noah Nabarrette, and Austin Turner won the 4x200 in 1:36.71. Finally, the men's team of Carsen Cordes, Noah Nabarrette, De'Vaughn Railey, and Dylan Stiffler won the 4x100 in 44.23. The women continued with their mid-distance relay success, as they won the 4 x 800 in 11:02.27 (Khloe Maxwell, Miley Maxwell, Grace Thanasack, and Bethany Wickline) and the 4 x 400 in 4:19.44 (Harper Banks, Lily Gaal, Abby Henderson, and Skylar Vandegrift). Reese Galinger had an incredible night, winning both the 1600 (5:10.01) and the 800 (2:22.20). TV also had three additional winners-Raelynn McGrath in the 300 hurdles (47.85), Abby Henderson in the 400 (1:01.99), and Addie Keplar in the 3200 (12:01.80).
