Women Take 4th, Men Take 8th at Granville Invitational

The Teays Valley Track and Field Teams competed at the Granville Invitational on Friday at Granville High School. The women took 4th, with 93.5 points, while the men took 8th with 16 points. Logan won both of the meets with 126 points pacing the women and 144 points leading the men. The Viking men got their highest contribution from the 4 x 100 relay of Carsen Cordes, Noah Nabarrette, De'Vaughn Railey, and Dylan Stiffler, who finished 4th in a time of 44.23. They also received strong support from the 4 x 400 relay of Caiden Blackburn, CJ Jett, Torin Scarpill, and Zach Zimmer, who finished in 6th place with a time of 3:52.13. The Viking women finished with a relay victory, as the team of Harper Banks, Lily Gaal, Abby Henderson, and Skylar Vandegrift won the 4 x 400 relay in a time of 4:11.56. The Vikings also had two individual victors on the day, as Reese Galinger won the 3200 in a time of 11:01.07, and Raelynn McGrath won the 300 hurdles in 47.26. Abby Henderson added a 2nd place finish in the 400 in a time of 59.84. The Vikings return to action on Tuesday at Grove City, with both field and running events at 5:00
