It was a record setting day for the boys Varsity golf team as they shot a school record 300 at Turnberry Golf Course in the first round of OCC play. The record allowed the Vikings to win the first leg of the OCC season. The 300 broke the old school record of 302 shot in 2025 and 2015. The Vikings were led in scoring by Landon Sturgill and Deacon Kroeger who shot 74 each. Followed closely by Trent Hicks and Will Griffith each with 76. Noah Hilgenberg rounded out the scoring with a 78. With the win the Vikings move to 7-0 in the OCC Buckeye. Next up for the Vikings is the Teays Valley Invitational on Wednesday at the Players Club, with an 8:00am start.
