Teays Valley had all cylinders firing on offense on Tuesday, winning big over Briggs 13-2
They fired up the offense in the first inning, when Landon Brent doubled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run. The Vikings scored five runs in the second inning lead by a single by Peyton Weiler, an error on a ball put in play by Matthew Farmer, and a double by Brent.
Farmer was credited with the victory for the Vikings. The ace lasted six innings, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out eight and walking zero.
Bradford took the loss for Briggs. The pitcher allowed 12 hits and 11 runs over four innings, striking out five.
Teays Valley collected 15 hits on the day. Grant Sherman, Tommy Williams, Weiler, Brent, and Gauge Pennell all had multiple hits. Sherman led with three hits in three at bats.
