The Teays Valley Vikings used sound defense and transition offense in defeating Fairfield Union in a huge MSL Buckeye division game. The Vikings trailed 12 – 9 after one period of play. The second period saw the Vikings offense get rolling as TV held a slim 23 – 20 lead at the break. The third period saw Fairfield Union go on a 7 – 0 run to start the period. After a timeout the Vikings righted the ship and held a 38 – 33 after three periods. The fourth period saw the Vikings defense step up on the last few possessions. The Vikings made free throws down the stretch and held the Falcons defensively late in the period to secure the win.The Vikings travel to Logan Elm on Saturday with a 1pm JV start.
